“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.”

Existential psychotherapy explores the big, often uncomfortable questions of being human: meaning, freedom, responsibility, isolation and mortality. It doesn’t offer quick fixes or formulaic solutions. Instead it helps you notice the choices available to you, confront fears and limits honestly, and live with greater authenticity and purpose. Therapy focuses on your lived experience, your thoughts, feelings, relationships, values and the ways you make sense of the world, while paying attention to how meaning is created (or withheld) in everyday life.

Practical, grounded and non-judgemental, existential psychotherapy supports you to:

  • clarify what matters to you rather than what others expect to matter

  • take responsibility for choices while recognising constraints and vulnerability

  • tolerate uncertainty, grief and finite limits

  • reconnect with creativity, agency and ways of being that feel true to you

It’s suitable when you’re wrestling with life transitions, identity, grief, existential anxiety, or a sense that life feels hollow or stuck.

My role as your therapist is relational and exploratory, guiding you to face hard truths with courage, curiosity and, sometimes, a good measure of humour.
